I remember there being an episode that had somewhat of a similar premise where Bo got knocked out, and he was tricked into believing he was Boss Hogg's son. Another was when Luke was hypnotized into giving up on the General Lee.

Luke was always so hard on BO that first season.

This series was dumb didnt matter who played the Duke Boys.

When I was a kid I watched this show, I dont know what kept me coming back. I didnt have any particular attraction to Diasy like most boys claim they did at the time. Looking back I dont remember any of the dialogue and the plot could barely be followed if the dialogue wasnt understood. It was all thin. At a young age one doesnt notice much the editing the took place. Today looking back I see how utterly stupid this show was and probably the only thing that I bought in to was that 'just a good ole boy' theme. But damn was this show DUMB!!!

For anyone wondering what that was that popped up in the back seat as Bo and Luke jumped out of the car, it was likely the head of the 'Blind Drive' stunt driver who was operating the car from the back seat. A similar technique was used in the series 'Knight Rider' when K.I.T.T. was required to 'self drive' without Michael at the wheel.
